The Story Behind Emma

 (The Travel Advisor)

My passion for travel started young. My family always joked that I was their Julie McCoy, the one with endless wanderlust who was constantly planning the next adventure. Long before this became my career, I was creating bespoke trips simply because I loved it.

I fell into the luxury travel industry by accident. While sitting at the St. Regis bar in Atlanta, I struck up a conversation with someone who worked in travel. As we talked, I realized that the thing I had been doing for fun my entire life could become my profession. That moment set everything in motion.

What began as a natural talent for planning grew into a full time business built around thoughtful service, elevated experiences, and a genuine passion for helping people explore the world. The Hunt Collective exists because I followed that instinct and turned a lifelong love for travel into something much bigger.

I grew up in New England, and charming coastal towns, historic destinations, and time by the ocean will always feel like home. Those roots continue to influence how I travel and the experiences I love to design for my clients.

A little more about me and my personal travel style: I’m incredibly detail-oriented and always thinking a step ahead. Some might say my taste in hotels and experiences is a bit over the top, but I’d call it refined. I value high-quality, elegant travel and believe a hotel should be far more than just a place to sleep.

A Few More Things About Emma
My favorite place to be is by the ocean, always. At home you’ll find one very energetic cat and two sweet French bulldogs. My perfect travel evening looks like trying a new restaurant and lingering a little longer than planned. My soundtrack of choice is country music, especially for long drives. And something that surprises people? I love to sing — I was classically trained as a child, which shaped my appreciation for creativity, culture, and the arts everywhere I travel.
Yes. Planning fees cover the time, research, and expertise required to curate a seamless and personalized trip. This is especially important for complex itineraries or multi city travel. Fees vary based on the scope of your trip, and we always outline this upfront.
You receive the same rate you see online, plus exclusive perks through our luxury partnerships. These may include daily breakfast, property credits, upgrades based on availability, early check in, late check out, and VIP recognition with the hotel team.
Yes. We assist with flights booked in premium economy or business class through trusted partners when they are part of a larger trip plan. For simple point to point domestic flights, we typically recommend booking direct.
For most international trips, we recommend reaching out six to nine months in advance. For festive season travel, summer in Europe, or major events, the earlier the better. That said, we can often accommodate shorter timelines depending on availability.
That is completely normal. Many clients come to us with a general idea of the type of trip they want but no destination in mind. We guide you through options that match your vision, preferences, and timing.
We primarily focus on elevated leisure travel and clients who value thoughtful planning, quality hotels, and seamless service. If you appreciate a well crafted experience, we are likely a great fit.
Planning timelines depend on how quickly we collaborate. Most trips take one week to one month to fully plan, especially for first time clients. If you already know exactly what you want booked, we can often have it secured within 24 hours.
We remain available throughout your journey. If anything comes up at the hotel or your plans change, we step in to help so you can enjoy your trip without stress.
Yes. We assist with recommendations, reservations when possible, or guidance on how and when to secure the best dining experiences.
